Hults Bruk Aneby Axe
The Hults Bruk Aneby bushcraft axe is a sturdy medium sized axe that is very comparable to the popular Gransfors “Small Forest Axe”. It really excels at almost any wilderness chore, whether making feather sticks, splitting (cordwood or kindling), doing light felling, clearing, chopping or even carving. The Aneby is small enough to be packed but large enough to take on almost any task. Its head weighs 1 ¾ lbs. and its handle is 20 inches long. The Aneby is part of the Hults Bruk Premium Series. The head is polished and has a hand forged black finish. The edge is hand sharpened and is also polished. The oval shaped handle is made from genuine American hickory and comes treated with linseed oil. The ax comes with a high quality, full grain, full coverage leather sheath. The Aneby is just one of the many great axes for sale at Great North Bushcraft Co.
From the manufacturer:
For thousands of years the axe has been an extension of the arm for human kind. With the help of the axe, man has been able to find his way through unspoiled nature, construct dwellings and butcher wild game. The axe has always been a survival tool, while at the same time it has offered freedom and independence. He who had a sharp axe could defend himself at all times and also prosper.

The Aneby Hatchet
Hults Bruk hatchets and bushcraft axes are tough tools that are made to last and can stand up to hard use, but they still need care. First is the axe or hatchet head. Always remove dirt, moisture and debris after using it and before putting the sheath on. If you are going to store your axe for an extended amount of time you should coat the head with a light oil or grease to help prevent rust. Next if you treat the handle or haft well it will treat you well. Never let it dry out or leave it wet for an extended period. You should treat it with an oil such as boiled linseed, tung or mineral oil on a regular basis. Lastly the sheath or mask. Keep it dry. Do this by removing moisture when it gets wet and treating the leather with a leather grease or wax. If you treat your Hults Bruk tool well it will serve you for years and years. You may even teach your grandson or granddaughter how to use an axe with the one you purchase here.
